Get Past Gym Anxiety with In-Home Training

Often, the hardest part of a workout is just getting to the gym. Busy schedules, shifting priorities, and needing that extra hour of sleep can derail even the most committed fitness buffs.

For many, the challenges run even deeper, such as not knowing what to do, feeling self-conscious, and thinking they aren’t fit enough to go to a gym.

Fitness company Gymshark ran a survey with 1000 women to understand how they have experienced gym anxiety. Nearly 90% reported experiencing some form of anxiety in the gym. And, of those women, two-thirds reported skipping workouts due to gym anxiety.

The top sources of gym anxiety were fear of using the equipment incorrectly (42%), feeling self-conscious about their appearance (34%), and worrying about being watched or judged by others (30%).

I can help alleviate these concerns:

Learn how to use equipment correctly

Whether training individuals or coaching in a group setting, my top priority is making sure the client is moving safely. Good form is critical for helping prevent injury. You can be confident that I will teach you how to perform an exercise properly before adding resistance and/or volume.

Build confidence in your abilities

With in-home training, we’ll work together in your environment where you can learn, ask questions and build strength. My approach to fitness prioritizes getting stronger and increasing your work capacity. Across the board, I’ve seen (and experienced) how that increase carries over to all aspects of life.

Exercise without fear of judgment

I get it. I’ve had my own challenges with fitness, and I know what it feels like to worry about being judged while trying to work out. I take great pride in creating an inclusive environment where my clients feel comfortable being themselves—empowered to try new things, make mistakes, and work hard without worrying about what anyone else thinks.
